If you are looking for a cheaper food mixer that offers several accessories in the basic package, choose the Bosch CreationLine Series 4. If you are looking for a professional food mixer for the kitchen, we recommend the Kenwood Titanium Chef Patissier XL.

The KitchenAid brand is one of the classics in kitchen appliances. Their products are almost iconic and very popular. This review is about the KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 model. Thanks to the all-metal body and stainless steel bowl, you can expect a long service life of this appliance, metal models appeared quite often among competitors, but it is not a given. The mentioned bowl holds up to 5 l, the standard for writing the review.

At first glance, the wattage of 325 W is below average; competing models have more than three times the power. But you don’t have to worry about the food mixer having poor performance. Unlike others, the manufacturer does not state the maximum but the average performance.

However, the number of speeds is more than sufficient, this model offers 10 of them, but you cannot switch between them smoothly; there is also no pulse function,

Think about the dimensions and weight before purchasing, and ensure you have enough space for it in the kitchen.

Features

Like most food mixers, the KitchenAid has a transparent lid with a hopper. The cover prevents splashes from the cream and dusting, for example, from flour. It also has a handle near the bowl, making it easier to handle the container. Anti-slip finish and overload protection are standard. The locking fuse also guarantees safety.

Equipment and accessories

Even though the range of accessories is extensive, the food mixer has only the essentials – a dough hook, a balloon whisk for whipping and a whisk for mixing. Everything else will have to be purchased. However, the accessories are compatible, so in the future, you will be able to use them for any other KitchenAid food mixers. However, the disadvantage is the prices of the accessories, which, like the prices of the food mixers themselves, are above average.

Pros and cons

We see the advantages in high-quality artistry, an all-metal body and a wide range of accessories. However, this is quite expensive and, except for the essential extension, is not included in the package.

Summary

The KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 is sold in several colour options, which some users may appreciate. As for the large volume of the bowl we find here, it will be especially appreciated by users who often bake in large quantities. For usual home baking, the bowl and the device are generally too large and inconvenient to handle. However, it depends on everyone whether they would use the bowl volume of almost 5 l. In terms of functions, you can do a lot with this food mixer. The disadvantage is that you must buy the elements for slicing, juicing and other functions separately for such an already quite expensive device. In addition, the manufacturer does not clearly state what is in the basic package, but the accessories to be purchased are certainly very comprehensive. The food mixer has many speeds, but the transition from one to another could be smoother.
